Moishe Kaufman: Dusk

Dusk
by Moishe Kaufman

when the sun steals far away
to see where sky and earth embrace
in heartfelt kiss
and there pays with its life
for that great sin.

dusk
when the first gray cloud
sets a headstone on dead day
and the sky in black shrouds
enfolds the earth,
the harp in my heart
starts to play for you.
