Born in southern Bukhovina. Vahl’s first writing was in German. After moving to Czernovitz, he began to write Yiddish poetry on social, revolutionary themes. His poetry was published in Warsaw and by an American group called “Proletpen”. Poems of Hunger un Massn Kvorim, (“Hunger and Mass Graves”) was dramatized by Moishe Broderzon at the Lodz Art Theater. He died of Tuberculosis in Czernovitz in 1935.
