V Moishe Shimmel is preparing for publication a collection of sonnets. These sonnets of which we are bringing an example in our present issue of “Lyric” will be a guide-post on Shimmel’s creative road which leads from egoistic-pessimistic lyrical “I” to bright optimistic faith in goal – conciousness of our endurance.
V The Pen Club has decided to subsidize a larger book of Sutskever’s poems. In this book of poems there will be a ring of sonnets written in theYiddish language.
