The Grass Is More Beautiful

The Grass is More Beautiful…
by Shmuel Yankev Imber

The grass is more beautiful than all flowers
the tear is deeper than all seas
the good luck that comes suddenly
binds the hands and feet of anger

The drop of blood under the littlest nail
comes often to heart as last comfort
the sack without food, the teacher’s vessel
means a win in the wise one’s roster.
